Since 1953 GRADO Labs has been run by a family and the construction of its Headphones are handmade, in Brooklyn - New York. The Grado family has seen three generations in the last 60 years join the company: from the days of Joseph Grado, who built phonograph cartridges on his kitchen table, when GRADO was a fruit store, up to John Grado , which built the first Headphones .
GRADO Labs has not been advertising since 1964, relying only on the word of its Headphones satisfied customers. The tradition and heritage passed on has also instilled the philosophy that sound quality always comes first. The family has been adapting to the times in the last 63 years, without being influenced by trends, but, has managed to be nominated for " The Best Headphones in the World " by companies like WIRED and others. GRADO Labs has more than 48 patents.
