Vestlyd was founded in 2021 out of an admiration for classic loudspeakers where dynamics, sound pressure and that certain "live-feeling" were more important than design. Vestlyd's goal is to bring us back to a time when speakers could be just that: speakers. Back then, function was prioritised over form, unlike today, where most things are designed primarily with aesthetics in mind, leaving sound quality in second place.
