Projector or television for home cinema?
For the true cinema feeling, the projector wins: it gives you an image of 100 inches or more, far more immersive. Television remains better for very bright rooms and everyday use. Many homes have both, each for its own moment.
What is throw distance?
It is the distance between the projector and the screen needed to obtain a given image size. Short-throw and ultra-short-throw projectors achieve a large image just a few centimeters from the wall, ideal for rooms where there is no space to mount the projector at the back.
4K, laser, brightness: what matters?
4K resolution brings sharpness and detail to a large image. Laser light sources offer more brightness, stable color and thousands of hours without maintenance, unlike traditional lamps. Brightness (in lumens) determines how the image behaves with ambient light: the brighter the space, the more brightness you need.
Which is best for my room?
It depends on the space, the light and the screen. A dedicated dark room lets you get the most out of any projector; a living room with windows calls for more brightness and, often, a short-throw model. The projector+screen pair should be considered together.
